he project of Samarra drugs factory was established in the Iraq-soviet economic and technical cooperation treaty in 1959 . the implement of this treaty took place in 1961-1962 and completed in 1969 after finalizing the premises and installing the machinery . in 1966 ,the state company for drugs industries was established with a capital of 10 million Iraq Dinars and was affiliated to the state organization of for drug industries, ministry of industry. experimental production took place in 1970 . on 17 July 1997, the state company for drugs industry and medical appliances in Samarra was formed with capital of 271 million Dinars, then increased to 1.7 billion Iraqi Dinars.
